why a blog?

The last journal entry in my handwritten, personal, paper (in other words: traditional) journal is from August 17th 2003— a couple of weeks before I left for Smith. Since then all of my thoughts and experiences, trials and tribulations, stories and anecdotes, have been shared through emails. Some of these emails I recognized as journal-like at the time and had the foresight to save. Many others I did not. And it is because of this realization that I am creating a blog. This is a blog half for you and half for me. It is a blog that will, most likely, read the way my emails do. Only now I will have a running “sent messages” folder for myself that does not think only the most recent thoughts are worth saving. Welcome to Becca’s junior year adventures!
